New Pad
Well, Jackson walked to the toilet today! Woohoo! And got a few more tubes out, including the central line. He still looks pale and hasn't eaten anything except popsicles and a little bit of jello until now.
We had him sit up on the couch for a while and tried to ge him interested in some of his goodies. He tolerated our attempt : )
Now, we are in our "new" room on the sixth floor ... the pediatric unit. I was expecting a little bit larger of a room with a window. Hmm. It's a tad claustrophobic. To be fair there is a window ... near the bathroom ... around the corner from jack's bed. We have an old tv in a beat up armoire with a really bad picture, and water stains on the ceiling. Very quiet. Kinda stuffy. I think I miss the CHSU : ) The good news is that Jackson is eating a grilled cheese sandwich, some french fries, and apple sauce as I type this.
This will make going home in a couple of days even sweeter.
There isn't room for two of us to sleep here : ( Unless we make a pallet on the floor like the nurse suggested. HA. So, I am going to head home for tonight and come back right away in the morning. Colin and Jack are going to have a slumber party.
