ROAR... CHARLIE IS FOUR!

We had Charlie's party right after we got back from our Broken Bow trip.  He wanted a dinosaur party...

 Giant Dinosaur Piñata

Really enjoyed how simple the cake was!!  So nice to not spend hours on it!
All of our birthday cakes might include a chocolate mold from now on : )
Those ground up oreo crumbs were DELICIOUS!

 Dino Sticker scenes

Dinos buried in the sandbox ...

Charlie was finding dino eggs - we hid them,  and let the kids go find them.
Then they used mallets to "hatch" the eggs -for little toy dinosaurs inside.
We did this at Jackson's dino party - when he was 3!

 Dino masks were a hit

 Charlie's signature expression

Wish I could remember what was so funny.   Something about the piñata tail on Daniel's arm.
Cooper said something funny ...

Love this big guy.   Had so much fun celebrating "FOUR!"

Broken Bow - June!

Right after school let out, we went to Broken Bow, Oklahoma with our friends, the Moxleys.   We left on Charlie's birthday, so he got to open a few gifts that morning : )

Can't believe he is four.

The Moxleys had some sweet gifts at the cabin for him too.

And we brought cupcakes of course!

Annabel with her matching American Girl.   : )

The kids loved watching tv from the upstairs loft.

The first morning, Colin and Jason went fishing, so Claire and I hung out around the cabin with the kids.   We took a little walk down the road ...

Quite a group : )

Maggie slept in a closet.

Sweet Moxley family.   So thankful that God sent us these wonderful friends.

Had to get a picture of the twin bear carvings in the backyard.

Fishing in the river.

It was hot!

Went back to the cabin and enjoyed some beer-ritas.  We couldn't find a pitcher, so improvised with an old jug.   Jason cut the top off ... maybe with a knife?   Couldn't find scissors either : )
Best. Pitcher. Ever.

Went fishing in the backyward of the cabin.
Kids had a blast.

Even Maggie pulled her fish in on her own.
With no pants ....

That's about as big as they got.

 S'mores in the heat.

That wet hair ... ALL sweat!

 Scavenger hunt time.

We had such a great long weekend in Oklahoma!
