Charlie's Two Months Stats
Staying at Home
We've been hanging around the house alot this week. On Monday, our friends the Wilsons came over to play outside. All the kiddos played in the sprinkler and little baby pool in the backyard. I can't remember what we did Tuesday ... it must have been something very exciting. On Wednesday the Clampitts came over for a visit on their way from Louisiana to Austin. They just moved to Austin (from Denver) a couple of weeks ago. They have a 4 week old baby girl, Stella, and a 2 year old, Sam. It was so great to see them. Jessica and I have been friends since our freshman year in college ... which, I can't believe, was 11 years ago. Ahh!
Yes, I know. Charlie looks like Monster Baby. Stella is a petite little girl - tiny little nose, tiny little toes, tiny everything. Just as I was taking this picture (yes, Charlie is crying) Jackson walked up and told/asked me, "Mommy... our baby is bigger than their baby." Too funny.

The boys loved meeting Mango the dog.
The big brothers.
And the little brothers.

And here are a couple of random pictures from this week.
No words.
I love Charlie's crazy hair after he gets out of the tub.
Charlie has definitely found his hands.
Sleepy boy.
On Thursday Heather and her three boys came over. All of our kids birthdays are just days/weeks apart. It seems like we are living parallel lives. It was a crazy visit, and the boys all had a great time.
And today, Cora came over to help me out with the boys. She is starting middle school this year, is going to be babysitting in no time. It was SOOOOO nice to have her here. She brought a little bag full of goodies for the boys, including watercolors and books. They loved all the attention. I was able to get so much done around the house (and not feel like I should be playing with them the whole time).

Two Months Old
Charlie is getting happier and happier every day. Still lots of spitting up. Lots of gas. Not lots of sleep during the day. But, in between those times, he is enjoying his newly found ability to kick and wave his arms. He's enjoying his bouncy seat and loves it when you sit in front of him and talk to him.
His well visit isn't until the 20th, even though he turned two months old on the 5th. But, I think he weighs about 13.5 pounds.

Smiles
Jackson is VERY interested in making Charlie smile. He is always talking about it. I love when I catch him talking to Charlie when he thinks I'm not paying attention. He is just so sweet!

This week
I took this video a while back of the boys playing Ring around the Rosy. I want to post it, so I can look back and remember what they are like right at this moment. It is so much fun to watch them play together (especially since they mostly drive each other crazy all day long). It's really difficult having three boys so close in age. I'm pooped, and it shows. But it is worth it. And we look forward to watching them grow up together. I hope that they will be such good friends. They better be, since they will probably all be sharing a room, bathroom, clothes, cars, you name it!
My mom has been in town since Thursday, and we've had an eventful few days. On Friday, we took the boys to a splash pad, and on Saturday we went to a birthday party in Keller, TX. Our friends, JP and Carmen, have a little boy, Joseph, and he is ONE! The party was great, and the boys had a lot of fun. Unfortunately, it didn't end very well - we had all three boys packed up and were walking out to the van, which was parked directly in front of their house - and I saw that the front window was smashed out. Someone broke the window, and stole my mom's purse. SUCKY! She has to go through so much trouble - canceling credit cards, new DL, losing cash, checkbook, keys, membership cards ... hours of trouble and headache.
Riding back home with the three boys in 1oo degree weather, with the wind blowing like crazy - it was an experience. Thankfully, we got the window fixed today. What a mess. My mom is working on getting everything canceled and replaced.
I am hoping that this is the last of our bad luck streak for a while. It's getting a little ridiculous.
Anyway, here are a few pictures from the last few days.
At the splash pad -
