I believe this was the first time we have been where he didn't try to eat the bread! What an accomplishment!

Duck Pond
This morning we went to Towne Lake with the St. Gabriel's mom's group. We pushed the kiddos around the lake and fed the ducks and geese. Jackson had a great time. In fact, when we were finished we ran a couple of errands, and he fell asleep near the house. When I got him out of the carseat he woke up and said "Duh! HAHAHAHA!" and then fell back asleep. It was too cute. I guess he was dreaming of the ducks.

Our Weekend
Our friends Tyler, Amanda, and their son Peyton came in town for the weekend. It was so great to hang out with them. Peyton chased Jackson around most of the weekend, and Jackson ran the other way. We tried out our double stroller with the two of them on Friday night.
Along with Amanda, my friends Kristen and Rebekah threw a baby shower for me and Cooper. Jessica also helped plan everything -but couldn't be here. It was great to see everyone. The husbands went out for beer and wings ("man shower"), and we hung around and played with the babies and opened gifts for Cooper.
Trying to get a picture of all of us and our little boys. Jackson looked like a giant compared to the others. I can't believe how quickly he has grown. We were missing Jessica and her little guy Sam... they are all the way in Denver.

Jackson's New Room
Jackson is all moved into his new room, and loving his new crib and space to play with his toys. We're pretty much finished with everything - just waiting on his chair to be reupholstered and a few other details.

Jackson loves to sit in the chair and read books. This chair actually belongs in the nursery -but until his arrives, we will be using Coopers.

Here are the curtains I made - they turned out okay, just a little crooked! : )
The crib converts to a toddler bed -but we want to keep him "contained" as long as possible!
I actually made my first crib skirt too - of course I spend so much on the fabric that it would probably be cheaper to buy one, but at least I get a sense of accomplishment.

Balloon Festival
Last night we went to the Plano Balloon Festival with our friends Lucie, Aaron, and McKenzie. Jackson had a wonderful time - as we knew he would because he is CRAZY about balloons - from helium to hot air, he doesn't discriminate. I was really hot and tired just from walking from the parking lot, but then again I get that tired walking from the couch to the fridge lately. Once we sat down and began watching the balloons launch, everyone had a great time.
