Good morning! Good morning!

So many prayers of thanksgiving that it is officially Thursday morning!    We feel like our cup has runneth over!  Jackson slept a little more as the night went on, and the effects of  anesthesia wore off.   He just had a popscicle!   Oh, how wonderful it was to watch him eat it.   He seemed so relieved.  They took out his catheter as well, and we are hoping the IV in his foot can come out early today so he can try to get moving later.

Here he is with his popsicle.   Even got a little smile or two out of him this morning.  God is Good.

His doctor hasn't been by yet, but is making rounds right now.   The nurse told me she thinks he will  most likely need some blood.  He was borderline last nigh, but they held off, but after "losing" some more through the drain in his chest, she suspects that they would like to go ahead and give him some.
We're also hoping that a few more tubes will come out today so he can move around a little more freely.
He says he doesn't remember us being around, and he keeps asking why he hasn't drank the silly juice yet.    :)  Keep telling him that it is all over, that his heart is fixed, and now everyday will  get better!   I don't mind saying it over and over again.

Prayer is what made this outcome possible.   We felt all of the prayers yesterday while we waited, and we continue to feel them now.    More pictures to come as the day goes on and he starts to get even better.

Oh, the way the CHSU is set up - there are two rooms with a window in between...  and one main nurse between the two.   Next door to us is a little baby boy who was admitted around 3 pounds, and is now just over four.   I think he was born on Friday.   I am not sure what type of heart surgery he had, but it was open just like Jack's.   I watched him alot last night.   I feel like Jackson looks tiny in his bed with all of the equipment, and then I glance next door.  Please pray for him, too.  His name is Colton.  He is still on a breathing tube and evidently giving the nurses a run for their money  : )  His parents look so tired.

I'll write more after we hear from the doctor.
