Yum Yum!

Tonight Cooper tried rice cereal for the first time. Yay Cooper!
We have high expectations ...

1. he will once again go back to sleeping through the night

2. he won't spit up quite as much

(I'll keep you posted on the results - I'm not holding my breath for either one)

When Jackson had his first bite of cereal, he pushed it out of his mouth and seemed quite confused by it all. Cooper knew just what to do and ate bite after bite ... go figure!

Today was his 4 month well check up and all looks good. We only got one shot --- we decided to spread them out a bit. Anyway, here are his statistics ...

Weight: 17 lb 15.5 oz (92%)

Height: 26" (83%)

Head Circ: 17" (72%)

BEEP BEEP

Coop has just gotten big enough (well, old enough, I should say) for his Combi Car. It is so cute! Jackson spent many hours in it, and after some time in the attic it seems the seat isn't attached so well anymore. Anyway, Cooper is used to second hand goods. here are a few shots of him enjoying the ride ...

Feeling the wind in his hair...

Tasting the steering wheel ...

Chewing on his moose...

Earlier today I was reading to the boys, and they were both propped up in the chair. Every few minutes Coop's hands or feet would make their way onto Jackson, and Jackson would say "uh-oh" until I repositioned Cooper. They're already so precious together. Cooper can't keep his eyes off Jackson and smiles every time he sees him. Jackson brings his toys and sits next to Cooper all the time, giggling away. Colin tried to get a picture of them together while I was reading but this is the best we could do. We got several where Jackson was smiling, but Cooper pulled the burp cloth over his face.,, and several where Cooper was smiling and Jackson had his eyes closed and head turned the other way. So, this is the best of the worst .... Don't they look happy?

Happy Valentine's Day!

Our mom's group through St. Gabriel had a Valentine's Party on Friday- what fun! Jackson had a blast. First, he decorated a cookie, and promptly ate all the icing and sprinkles off with a spoon.

We decorated bags to collect Valentines:

Played with balloons:
Posed with all of his friends for a little photo shoot:

Really posed ...
Cooper slept through most of it, so here are some pictures of him at home later. He is constantly sucking on his fingers, and I find it to be pretty cute.
And now for the entire hand ...
He's still quite a chunk, and doing better and better each day. Though he still burps or spits up 7 or 8 times each time he eats. (H nurses every two hours). I have found that if he eats smaller amounts more often, that he does a little better. As long as we can keep him upright, he seems to be able to burp easier. He has been off and on sleeping through the night since January - sometimes he sleeps from 9ish to 6ish, but the last week he has woken up once in between to eat. This is fine with me ... much improvement over how Jackson was sleeping at this age. Oh - and he is now spending more time on a blanket on the floor. He has mastered the art of rolling over, so he doesn't stay on his tummy for long, but seems to enjoy the freedom to move his arms and legs. I just have to keep moving him around the blanket since he spits up all over it while he plays : )

Bumbo, Bathtime, and Brownies

Bumbo ... fun for the whole family

Bath time ...

Brownies ...

(Yes, I know he shouldn't be eating all this sugar - especially the batter with raw eggs, but sometimes you just have to let loose. We had a blast. )

milestone

A milestone!!

Not for one of the boys, but for me!!!

This morning as I put on my maternity jeans with their worn out knees and saggy butt (they are extremely flattering), I looked up at the top of my closet at the rubbermaid with all my pants in it. I was feeling brave, so I dug through and the biggest size I could, and ... get this...they fit!

wooowooo!!!

Now i just have to remember to zip them .... I'm a little out of habit after wearing elastic waists for most of the last 2 1/2 years.
