Maggie's First Day of School

Maggie started at Suncreek Kids Preschool this year.
She goes 3 days a week from 9-2.
To say that she loves it would be an understatement.

Ellie FINALLY walking.

 barely.

Feeling a little shy, but so excited.

After the first day ... had a great time!
She has loved every single day.
Her teachers are so so so wonderful!!
It has been so great to see her

September

Some little snippits of September...

Swinging with Ms. Freckles

Made it through Mass with all five while Colin was out of town.
Celebrated (as promised) with donuts.

Went to a Rangers game with the Quarles

Jackson doing homework with a little help from his brother and sisters.

Listening to Harry Potter

We usually go to Mass on Friday mornings but I couldn't quite get us girls ready before we left at 7:15.  So, we headed home but were so surprised to see the Balloons from the Plano Balloon Festival landing in the field next to our neighborhood.
We parked and watched lots of them land.

Girls were impressed!

First Day of School

First day of school for the boys.
Jackson- 4th
Cooper- 2nd
Charlie - 1st

We got back from the beach just before school started.

If you look behind the them ... just past the Crepe Myrtle ... that's the elementary school.
Not their school, but the one we would go to.
It's literally in our backyard.
We spend ALOT of time in the car.
It is worth every second.
Not sure if the girls would agree yet - they spend twice as much time ...
driving there, dropping the boys, and then driving back home.
I wouldn't change it but sometimes I do daydream about everyone sleeping until 7:15 and walking to school.  Letting the baby stay asleep. That would be REALLY nice.
But, we can't have everything. And St. Mark is our home.
So drive we will! Even in a giant 12 passenger van.

We didn't get a picture with Mrs. Flores, but Jackson was happy to use his locker for the first time!

Cooper and Mrs. Crider ... a match made in heaven!!

Charlie and Mrs. Helm ...
He loves her!

They have grown so much since this day!!!

Beach Trip

We finally made it to the beach!!! We went to Perdido Key the last week of summer. There were some rainy days, but mostly it worked out great ... cloudy skies are good for our fair skinned family.
I flew there with Cooper and Ellie, and Colin drove the other three.  And on the way home, Jackson flew back with me and Ellie.

FRECKLES!!!

Worthy of a frame.

As expected, Eleanor did NOT like the sand.
And she was still taking two naps a day, so she spent a lot of time in the room.

Jelly fish washed in on the last full day.  Everyone got stung, but the kids had fun catching them. We spent the day in the pool instead.

Maggie's hair was looking pretty cute with the saltwater.

Mermaid Maggie.

Good Ol' Souvenir City.  I remember it from when I was Jackson's age.

Mini Golf.
It was hot.
Really, really hot.

Naval Museum

The summer Olympics were on ... was fun to watch them in between walks down to the beach.
It would be great to try and go back every four years when they are on.

JULY

Well, it looks like I took 0 pictures with my camera during July.
sigh.
I do have some random pictures from my phone ...

Ellie and her blankie.   Loves that thing.

Dress like a cow and get free ChickFila Day

Lots of time at the Splash Pool

I asked the boys to watch Ellie while I cleaned the girls bathroom
so they built a pillow cage for her.

The boys building a new shelf for the kitchen.
Jackson especially LOVES to put furniture together.

VBS ... Love Cooper's face.

Chores ... I asked them to please use the vacuum to get the spiderwebs out of the windows and  told them I would give them "bonus points" if they got the spiders too : )

Played in the hose ...

and in the rain

Annabel came with us to the mall.

Maggie adores her.
Couldn't pick a better role model for her.

Ellie, waffle in hand, "helping" with the laundry

With the Moxleys and the Jaurez's at a party for the Seminary

Snow cones in Alexandria
