Thanksgiving in Austin

We had such a nice Thanksgiving break in Austin. I'm too tired to go into all the details - but here are some pictures from the day. My Uncle George and my cousin, Holly, celebrated their birthdays on Thanksgiving, too.
Colin was back in McKinney "supervising" the new floors that we had put in. They look great! Our house is a wreck. But, underneath all the boxes I think they look nice.

Austin So Far

We made it to Austin on Sunday. All the boys did great and we made it so quickly. Everything has been going so well, and Jackson and Cooper are actually sleeping in the same room. I wouldn't go as far as saying that we are getting a good night sleep, but it is working out fine.
My Aunt Trudy and Uncle Jon have graciously let the Delaney boys take over their house.

My Aunt and Uncle's daughter, Mariette, lives in austin as well, with her three year old, Ben.
The boys have been playing so well together.

We couldn't figure out the dvd player,
so we just propped up the laptop and let the boys watch some videos on the couch.

On Tuesday, Jessica came over with her little girl, Stella, for a visit.

But we did get a few of the lovebirds on the couch.

Stella has the most delicate features.

I couldn't get enough of her.

Later on Tuesday, reinforcement arrived.
We took the boys for a walk down to the lake.

It's so nice for the sidewalk chalk not to roll right into the street.

The boys have also been playing alot on the back porch. It has been so nice outside.

What's Cookin?

Recently, Jackson was invited to a birthday party for a classmate of his, Kent.
It was at a place called "Young Chefs Academy." So fun!

He was a little quiet when we first arrived.

First up, making pizzas.
They got to roll out dough, and then add sauce and toppings,
and eat a few bites while they were working.

How smart - to write the kids names on the parchment paper.
They sure know what they are doing.


While the pizzas were in the oven, they got to "decorate" some cupcakes.
Jackson's choice of toppings included nerds, m&ms and LOTS of sugar.

Mmmmm....

(Wish the parents could have made some, too)


Next, they got their very own chef hats to color.
I had to take the crayons away from Jackson.
He was going to color every square inch of it, but it was time for a group picture.

He also ate his entire pizza.
