Making a mess

Yesterday I took the boys to Towne Lake, otherwise known to them as the "duck pond." Anyway, afterward I was feeling pretty grossed out by the duck poo that made it's way on Cooper's socks, shoes, and then into our van. I'm wondering when I got to be such a "city girl." I know I used to get dirty all the time, fishing, and playing outside. Now I cringe when my kids are at the petting zoo touching dirty farm animals, or their fingernails are full of dirt. I've got to re-learn how to just let it go. Maybe it's that I am the one that has to clean it up now. Walking all over the carpet with dirty shoes is much more frustrating when you're the one that has to vacuum it, I guess. Anyway, these slides of my brother and I made me laugh.

Here's to taking a deep breath, and getting messy!
