For Easter, we took our last road trip as a family of six : ) We went to Colin's parents' house in Alexandria. We had a great time. I propped my swollen feet up (thanks to the drive there I guess) a lot of the time, and just wallowed around being pregnant. Oh, and I ate a lot. Mawmaw and Pawpaw, and Aunt Ali an Aunt Coco had plenty of activities planned for the kids. The love being there so much!
We made a little trip to the Farmer's Market which is in he most beautiful area. Jackson and Cooper ran ahead with Mawmaw, but I got a couple of pictures of the little two on this tree. Sigh .... so beautiful!
Turns out it was quite cold and windy. And the kids weren't feeling it.
So I took them back to the car to wait.
I want to move to the country.
Maggie wearing one of her crafts (thank you to Aunt Ali and Aunt Coco!)
They dyed Easter eggs...
And we had crawfish!!!
Don't know why I don't have any pictures of our egg hunt that morning.
We did it inside because it was raining.
Made it to church and caught a few pictures of the monkeys afterward...
On Monday,we drove to Lake Charles to visit some sweet friends.
First, we went to my friend Emily's mom's house. Emily's three girls, her nephew, and our friends Maria and her daughter Gianna were there too.
They had so much fun playing together!
Charlie took a turn driving soon after this picure ... went right into the fence!
Not sure what MAggie's issue was. I'm sure she wanted something she couldn't have.
I just wanted a picture of her and her godmother! : )
So thankful for both of these ladies.
They are such wonderful moms!!!
Next we headed over to Miller Lane and visited Chelsi, baby Finn, and Mrs. Brenda.
So wonderful to meet this little man!!! Look at that grin!
And then we walked down to see my Uncle George.
And we lucked out and got to walk down to my old house.
Cami, the owner, let us tromp around the yard.
It hard to explain what it feels like to walk around the pond and know every little detail of that land.
It feels like home ... always will.
So happy to share it with the kids.
Right behind the house, Cami has zip lines and swings and all kinds of fun for her three kids.
Ours sure appreciated all of them!
Colin showed the boys how to do the zipline ...
Uncle George supervised : )
Cooper mastered this in no time.
Before we left Cami let the kids meet the chicks. : )
What a fun experience for the kids.
So thankful for our whole Easter trip!!!
