We decided to leave in the evening to head back to Allen. Before we left we had dinner and then decided to let the kids go play in the "puddles" while Colin packed the last of the stuff into the van.
Emily had come over with the girls to tell us goodbye. It was a perfect way to finish out our trip.
Splashing in puddles turned into wading in the ditches.

Uncle George walked down with his dogs. It was so good to see him while we were there. We're trying to convince him to move to Allen, too. HA!

After we said goodbye to Emily and her girls, changed clothes, we loaded up and took off. Stopped to nurse Maggie in Sour Lake (1 hour away), and the boys all walked around in Academy. Then all four of them went to sleep. We drove the rest of the way (a little over 5 more hours) without having to stop. HOORAY! Got home at 2 am. It was relaxing and so quiet. Colin and I got to talk. He listened to me cry : ) And I stayed awake because I was scared that he would fall asleep.
So glad we got to make the trip.
