So, Ms. Maggie turned 2 months old on the 28th of May. She is really, by far, the easiest Delaney baby that we have had. She still has her gassy/burpy/spitty complaints ... but I'll take it. She usually only wakes up once (Goes to bed late ... around 10 or 11) ... eats around 4 or 5 am, and then up for an hour ... burping, spitting, pooping. Then back to bed until around 8am usually. Naps well. Still sleeps in her bouncy seat - or propped up on her boppy pillow in the crib for naps. Hate to put her flat on her back because of her tummy "issues." She falls asleep in our arms, or in the carseat, or wherever. She's a BREEZE compared to the boys. I know I have it good when my boys turned one. Life just got so much more HAPPY for all of us. But Colin and I both worked to get there. Whew. So, Maggie, she has her moments, but what baby doesn't. She might be more trouble at one than she is now!
Here are her stats ... as compared to her brothers. Makes me laugh to compare them!
Maggie Charlie Cooper Jackson
weighing in at...
11 lbs 14lb 6 oz 15lb 11 oz 12 lbs 12 oz
length...
22.25 " 26.25" 24.5" 24"
and head circumference ...
15.75" 17.75" 16.5" 16"
And the award for the biggest head goes to, ...CHARLIE! All of them have big heads, but whoa. Charlie. And he was a full FOUR inches longer at this age. That is craziness. And Cooper was a little over TWO inches longer, but almost 5 pounds heavier. No wonder our backs ACHED with Cooper.
Anyway, enough with my statistics chart. HA.
Focus now back on Maggie.
(For the life of me, I can't get this font to be normal size)
So, she is smiling like crazy. Getting a few more rolls. Cheeks have filled out even more. She's kicking the toys on her bouncy seat to make the music play. LOVES watching the boys. Will just sit in our laps without us having to bounce her or walk her constantly. WHAT?! Even while we eat. I swear, the boys would have been reaching for the spoon already.
So, I took some pictures of her - only a day or two late- from her 2 month "birthday."
After those pictures, Jackson was asking when I was going to take his picture in the chair.
: ) So I told him to jump on in...
How big is he?
Can't believe he will be starting Kindgergarten.
So exciting!
Well, then Mr. Charlie got a little jealous.
So he "asked" to get in the chair, too.
I really mean, "whined"
Next Cooper started pouting, "but why can't I get in the chair?"
Well, the chair was too little, so we moved locations to the couch.
And I couldn't pick any fewer pictures, because these all make me laugh.
"Okay, get close!"
I was thinking, "maybe I will get a great picture of all four children looking at the camera... with no one crying... and everyone actually has shorts on. What I got was a whole lot of funny. Hands in front of faces, closed eyes, crazy faces. Priceless.
"Charlie? Charlie? Over here!"
"Whatever mom, I feel like picking out my toe fuzz"
And it's always fun to "pet" Maggie on the head.
What a fun ride this is. I am currently wearing the shirt that I slept in last night, and looking pretty awesome. Maggie is asleep in her car seat carrier from earlier ... we made it out to a playgroup this morning. I really appreciate these quiet moments. Of course, Jackson and Cooper didn't nap, so they are lingering about, coloring and reading. But no one needs to be fed or changed.
It's a crazy time, and lots of stuff is "falling through the cracks" but I am really, really happy.
And really, really, tired ; )
