Muddy Buddies

This past weekend, some of our friends came into down - David, Elizabeth, & Drew. They stayed with us on Saturday and it was great to spend time with them. The 8 of us went out to eat on Saturday, and then I kept the boys at home while they all went to a concert. I watched the Rangers game alone after the boys were in bed, and cheered my head off. Who knew I could like sports so much??

Saturday morning started early when they all got ready to go to the Muddy Buddy race. Elizabeth and Drew were there to cheer on Colin and David. Jackson went along, too, and hung out while his Daddy "survived" the race : ) He got to run in the "Mini Buddy" and go through some obstacles and then the mud pit. He had a BLAST.

A big thanks to Drew and Elizabeth for keeping an eye on Jackson the whole time. And Drew took some AMAZING pictures of everyone.

Filling up the mud pit.
How can a mud pit look so pretty?
Drew is a great photographer.

I mean, I know he is my kid. But he is so stinking handsome.

Kept himself busy by throwing rocks into the lake.

What could be better??

Muddy shoes.

Sweet, sweet picture of David and Elizabeth.
They are expecting their first baby on April 11th!
That's about 2 weeks after baby Delaney is due.
We're so excited for them!

Colin, gearing up for the race. I think he is so handsome, too.

David in front and Colin right behind him.

Nice cut-off sweatpants, heh?

The plan was to have mustaches for the race, but David didn't mention this to Colin until less than a week before. So, Colin got all scruffy, and then never even got around to shaving the beard off and leaving a mustache.

Colin had already changed clothes before he realized that he would be running the race with Jackson, too. Jackson was having the time of his life.

I think Colin has mud on his teeth. Or maybe its a shadow. Either way, love the mud on Jackson's face and the uncertainty of his expression.
