Halloween Festivities!

On Thursday, Jackson's school had their Pumpkin Patch/Fall Picnic. Unfortunately it rained that day, so there was no hay ride, but we just spread our blankets on the floor inside and enjoyed lunch with our families. Didn't take any pictures except of Jackson with his pumpkin at the "pumpkin patch." Unfortunately, it was a little crowded with all the other students taking pictures too.

His class decorated the pumpkins like the Big Scary Green Monster
(great book if you don't have it).

On Friday evening, we had our Mom's Group Halloween Party.

Here are our silly boys in their costumes. One year it would be fun if they all coordinated. hard to do when you are using recycled costumes : )
UPS man (previously Jack's), Puppy Dog (previously Coop's), and a ghost.
I "made" Jackson's by cutting a bedsheet - of course, packed away all my scissors in storage, so I used kitchen shears.
Not exactly my best effort.

Gave Charlie a chocolate covered marshmallow.
He ran off with it. Guess he thought someone was going to take it.

After eating and plenty of jumping around in the bounce house, it was time to "trunk-or-treat."
Should have taken a picture of how cute some of the trunks were. Ours, well, wasn't.

Charlie didn't really get the hang of it. Kept trying to walk out into the parking lot.

Nathan and Jackson goofed around together.

Checking out the loot in the trunk.
Cooper was only dressed as the ups man for about 5 minutes... he had a potty accident.
Poor kid had the only change of clothes that we could find in the car. Size 18 month shorts and a 4T tshirt : ) He was a little chilly.

I've been enjoying some of the candy while writing this post : )

  1. I love the Cubbies hat on Jackson's "ghost" head! It really brings the costume together!
