I can't believe little Charlie is 10 months old. I can't believe it is April! I need it all to slow down. I need my children to stop growing up so fast. I would like to think that even though they are growing up so fat, that I am still the same age. hmm.
New this month ...
Charlie got his front teeth (much rejoicing! was afraid that he didn't have any since the next teeth came in first).
Babbles alot. Sometimes he just lets out REALLY loud screams for no apparent reason.
Gets alot of attention over his red hair and blue eyes. He's a ham.
Loves riding in the wagon around the neighborhood.
Still in his infant carrier, because his mom has been too lazy to change it out.
Still enjoying his food. Eats pretty much everything except for eggs, nuts, or seafood. When he is done with his finger foods, he promptly throws his plate on the floor. Sometimes he leaves the stuff he doesn't want, like broccoli, that is if he hasn't already thrown the broccoli over the side of the highchair and watched it fall and hit the floor.
Goes to sleep pretty well - great at bedtime, and okay at naptime. Sometimes he just watches me leave and go peacefully to sleep (sucking on his pacifier of course). Other times he screams for 15 minutes and makes me feel lousy.
Drinking from a straw sippy cup. Well, more like transfering his food into the water cup. The water is quite cloudy by the end of a meal. His favorite pastime is hanging on my leg. Especially if I am trying to do anything in the kitchen. He moves in a fast gear to get to me, then he grabs hold of my pants, and stands there, fussing, babbling, screaming, until I pick him up. It renders me useless. I'm afraid to keep moving, because he falls over and his head meets the tile. I keep putting him back in the family room with toys, and that lasts for about 1 minute.
This stage shall pass! (I might need to write that 100x on the chalkboard so I can start to believe it). Spitting up less. Almost afraid to write that. But, he is down to about 10x a day or so. Which was easily how much he went in an hour or two when he was younger. I'm counting down until he is one for that main reason - no more spit up (hopefully). Yesterday he spit up in my nose. It was awesome. Not.
Happy 10 months, Charlie Boy!!
