Sick of Halloween Yet?

I'm tired of thinking of Halloween, ready to move on to Thanksgiving. But, I haven't finished posting pictures that I will want to treasure forever and ever. I'll be sparse with words so the post won't drag on forever ...

Actually, the day started out with a walk-through of our house.
Fun to see it, and find out the brick and sheetrock are going up this week.

Next, took all three boys to the OB for my 18 week sonogram.
She did all of the measurements, and finally on to the gender ...
I thought something looked a little different,
but she was typing away on the screen -
"kidney," "femur" you know ... all the body parts.
When she had the money shot pulled up, and she typed, "leg" and then,
"B...O...
I thought, another boy! Which is what I was expecting.
But instead,
"BOTTOM" is what she typed.

Then up on the screen,
"NO DOUBT A GIRL"

When I saw the "G" I just burst into tears.
Like a crazy, hormonal pregnant woman.
JAckson said, "A Girl???"
"I can't believe it's a girl!"
(We couldn't either)

We are so blessed and excited about the newest addition.
Was thinking we would have 4 boys (which I think would have been wonderful)
but now three big brothers to protect a little sister.

Anyway, later that day ....

We went to Scare on the Square in downtown McKinney. It's getting more and more crowded each year, but still fun.

Love this picture.

And this one, too.
People kept asking him if he had a package for them.
He very seriously answered, "no" each time.

Charlie trick or treated in the stroller for the first half.

It was like a drive-thru candy run.

He caught on VERY quickly to the whole thing.

Except he kept running off in the wrong direction.

But I thought it was funny that he wound up next to the fire hydrant.

The Wilsons were kind enough to invite us to their new neighborhood for Trick or Treating.

I didn't get good shots of the girls, but they all looked so adorable in their costumes.
Abigail as Ladybug Girl, Julia as Fancy Nancy, and Natalie as Strawberry Shortcake.

Jackson's ghost costume made it through 95% of all of our Halloween events.
But he was a trooper. The eyes kept shifting, and he couldn't see anything. And then he kept almost stepping on it.
As seen above, he kept lifting it up and taking a peek at his candy after each house.

Checked out the loot, had a few pieces, and headed home.
The whole day went great, but we had some nice melt downs just before bed.
Next morning was kinda ugly too.
little sleep + lots of sugar = grumpiness

On to the next holidays!
Went shopping at Target today, and Christmas music was playing.
Can't get the songs out of my head!
Bought a 2' Christmas Tree for our table ... boys think it is hilarious.
Jackson is already dreaming up ideas on how to make tiny paper ornaments for it.
