Talking Back

Yesterday at lunch, Cooper was standing up in his chair (as usual) and I was "politely" telling him to sit down before he falls. Cooper responded by saying "No!"
Jackson looked over to him and said, ...

"Cooper, don't say 'no' to mommy. That's called 'talking back' and it's not polite. It makes mommy and daddy sad. You shouldn't talk back. Only talk forward."

I love these kids. I need to make more of an effort to write down all of the things they say. I'd like to think I will remember their words forever, but seeing as I can't remember what happened a week ago, I don't think that's the case.

  1. You are such an awesome Mom, Liz. So many kids replay of parents' speech isn't nearly so lovely. What a precious child Jackosn is!
