Staying at Home

We've been hanging around the house alot this week. On Monday, our friends the Wilsons came over to play outside. All the kiddos played in the sprinkler and little baby pool in the backyard. I can't remember what we did Tuesday ... it must have been something very exciting. On Wednesday the Clampitts came over for a visit on their way from Louisiana to Austin. They just moved to Austin (from Denver) a couple of weeks ago. They have a 4 week old baby girl, Stella, and a 2 year old, Sam. It was so great to see them. Jessica and I have been friends since our freshman year in college ... which, I can't believe, was 11 years ago. Ahh!

Yes, I know. Charlie looks like Monster Baby. Stella is a petite little girl - tiny little nose, tiny little toes, tiny everything. Just as I was taking this picture (yes, Charlie is crying) Jackson walked up and told/asked me, "Mommy... our baby is bigger than their baby." Too funny.

Sam

The boys loved meeting Mango the dog.

On Thursday Heather and her three boys came over. All of our kids birthdays are just days/weeks apart. It seems like we are living parallel lives. It was a crazy visit, and the boys all had a great time.

The big brothers.

And the little brothers.

And today, Cora came over to help me out with the boys. She is starting middle school this year, is going to be babysitting in no time. It was SOOOOO nice to have her here. She brought a little bag full of goodies for the boys, including watercolors and books. They loved all the attention. I was able to get so much done around the house (and not feel like I should be playing with them the whole time).

And here are a couple of random pictures from this week.

No words.

I love Charlie's crazy hair after he gets out of the tub.

Charlie has definitely found his hands.

Sleepy boy.

  1. Liz, these pictures are darling! I wish you were posting about OUR playdates...wish we lived close enough to have some! If we ever do, you better bet they will be documented!
